I found out Jack was going to be in Orlando at the Nickelodeon Family Suites so I went there to try to meet him. Since it was Nick Jr. Month at the hotel they were showing the first episode of Jack's Big Music Show which was set to begin airing on Noggin and Nick Jr. the next Monday. I performed Mel the Dog in this TV show and was interested in seeing what people thought of the finished production. I knew that I had had a fun time working on it and hoped the good feelings would come across the screen and be entertaining.

Jack's Big Music Show is a new, fun educational show that teaches kids about music and exposes them to a variety of musical styles. Each episode stars Jack, Mary, and Mel and will feature a music video by The Laurie Berkner Band. The show also includes peformances by Buddy Guy, Yolanda Adams, Cathy Richardson, Music for Aardvarks, Hot Peas 'N Butter, Milkshake, and The Dirty Sock Funtime Band.

The premiere was shown in Studio Nick to over 100 curious music lovers. The episode was entitled "Little Bad Wolf" and is the first show in the series. The audience laughed and clapped along with Jack and his clubhouse pals from the gong that clobbers Mel at the top of the show all the way through to the end song and credits. They liked following The Little Bad Wolf through his introduction of music and chuckled every time he huffed and puffed Mary and Jack into a pile of instruments.

David was our wonderful host for the event and afterwards directed us into the mall area to meet Jack. I got in line and watched as dozens of fans took pictures with Jack and congratulated him on his first big music show. When it was my turn I tried to hang with Jack but before long he was swept away by adoring fans. Now that he has become a big star I guess he won't have time to chat with me like he used to. |

Luckily I can spend as much time as I want with another famous cast member. Mel and I share a special bond. Jack's Big Music Show premieres Monday, September 12th on Noggin and Nick Jr. at 11:30 and 4:30. The show will then air regularly on Noggin everyday at 12:30 and 4:30. See a sneak preview video at www.noggin.com/shows/jacks.php It's super swell!
